Painesville’s Junior golf league has been growing young golfers for over 30 years . . . long enough to see the next generation return with their own children! Our 6 week season is made for kids to have fun playing the game of golf! The league is designed for juniors who already play the game, even beginners! The league is not a junior golf clinic in which the golf swing is taught. For our junior league, coaches and volunteers are always on hand to advise and assist where needed though!
For our youngest golfers, we make special accommodations by adding a set of “forward tees”, and I mean “very forward tees”! The shorter tees help encourage them to keep going and not give up! Parent/Family volunteers are the best too, and they help us by spending their Tuesday mornings at the golf course! We couldn’t do it without them! THANKS Parents & Families!!
The league is overseen by the golf course and the varsity golf coach from Harvey High school, Scott Cummings! Kids play 9 holes of golf weekly and have 2 fun days with food!
